WELCOME ! Franklinville Independent Youth Wrestling is an AAU sanctioned youth wrestling organization whose purpose is to motivate kids who are serious in pursuing training that will insure their top development in the sport of wrestling. The Head Coach welcomes all kids who want to become good wrestlers and who want to develop their skills through proper training techniques. Please sign up and become part of a training program that will make you the best wrestler you can possibly be. The coaches will do everything to enhance training and ensure the highest quality instruction possible. The head coach will administer and over see finances and will manage a bank account to insure the club is able to maintain its AAU status and insurance coverage. Coaches will not operate under the control of parental boards or parental organizations of any kind. The organization is not affiliated with any other youth program and will be run and administered by the Head Coach. No one will participate in coaching unless specifically appointed by the head coach. All persons wishing to coach must be eligible to pass a background check in order to work directly with the children. Team members must be at least 9 years old at the time of sign ups. Younger children may apply and be approved to participate on an individual basis. Maturity, physical development, and motivation will be considered. Coaches are not baby sitters and will not be responsible for the bad behavior of team members nor their parents. Team rules and Codes of Conduct will be issued for both parents and children. Decisions by the Head Coach will be final. As a parent you will pay the cost of your child's membership in AAU and all equipment necessary for your child to participate. The AAU membership fees will include the cost of insurance and an AAU T-shirt. No funds will be retained by the club. Administration costs will be covered by coaches and other willing parents and/or volunteers. |
