ByLaws 1. Franklinville Independent Youth Wrestling (FIYW), is a wrestling club formed for the purpose of promoting and teaching the sport of wrestling to children from age 8 to 13 years of age. 2. FIYW is a not for profit entity having no financial interests or assets other than to own a checking account and other items necessary for a wrestling club to function. These items include but are not limited to ice packs, bandages, disinfectant products, and clothing. 3. FIYW is a registered and insured wrestling club with the AAU and all coaches and wrestlers are members of the AAU. 4. FIYW is coached by dedicated community members who enjoy working with children. All coaches will be expected to pass a background check and be free of a criminal background. 5. FIYW will expect all parents to supply clothing and equipment to their children. Parents and the club may order singlets and other equipment as a group in order to take advantage of pricing and specials. 6. FIYW will accept donations in order to pay for certificates of insurance, club certificates, and equipment that will be used in the course of the season. This equipment may include but not be limited to ice packs, bandages, wraps, antibacterial cleaners and agents. 7. FIYW will not be controlled or supervised or overseen by any parent groups or community groups of any kind other than the requirements and policies of Franklinville Central School while practice is being conducted. 8. FIYW strongly encourages participation in wrestling tournaments throughout the area. Participation in tournaments is NOT a requirement however. 9. The Head Coach will be the sole authority for the operation of the club. All decision making will rest solely with the Head Coach and all those decisions will be final. |
